MS NOW, one of the news organizations that as of yesterday STILL were facing illegal White House bans, has announced that it will offer full, free streaming access to watch the sold-out Power To The People Festival, featuring special guest Bruce Springsteen and taking place at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on Saturday, October 3, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Springsteen was the first person to announce the Festival, towards the end of his May 27 Washington, D.C. gig on The Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour, on the night before the Festival's official announcement: "Tom Morello and I will be back again here in D.C. [well, less than an hour's drive away from D.C. proper, in Columbia, MD,] on October 3rd for another night of music and resistance. The first-ever Power To People Festival will be announced to the world tomorrow, but you're hearing about it first here tonight! Tom will be there; Dave Matthews, The Foo Fighters... my friends The Dropkick Murphys will be there. I'll be back, guesting and playing on a few songs with Tom and his band. We encourage you to come out and make a goddamned ruckus along with us!"

As stated on the Festival's official website, "Power To The People is a celebration of peace, love, justice, music and community action. Curated by Tom Morello, this one-day event at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD is about the power everyday human beings have when they come together — through music, art, community and action — to shape our country and our planet on, and beyond, Election Day.
"Expect an extraordinary lineup of artists and activists delivering intimate, collaborative performances across two stages, plus the Freedom Village — an immersive space where nonprofits and community partners highlight ways to get involved through civic engagement, grassroots organizing and mutual aid. A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales plus 100% of the net proceeds from VIP tickets will be donated to VoteRiders – a pro-democracy, pro-voter organization working to restore and strengthen democracy by eliminating confusing and restrictive ID-related barriers to the ballot box – and HeadCount, who will also be on site to help fans register to vote and learn more about how to participate in upcoming elections."
All Power To The People Festival tickets are now officially sold out, but the Festival has established an official face-value ticket exchange (click here) and, in addition to announcing its exclusive free YouTube stream, MS NOW also has announced a special 250-words-or-less essay contest in which each of five winners will receive a pair of general-admission tickets to the Festival. The essay contest closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 26. Winners will be announced Monday, September 28 on The Beat with Ari Melber at 6 p.m. ET on MS NOW. Strangely, Melber's announcement/report never mentioned the Festival's curator Tom Morello among the artists scheduled to perform, and it included interview footage of Jon Bon Jovi, who has not been announced as a participant.
