You can click below to watch the embedded and cued-up pro-shot footage of Bruce Springsteen performing "Streets of Minneapolis" at yesterday's Minnesota No Kings rally in the state's capital city of Saint Paul. After being introduced to the stage by Minnesota's governor Tim Walz, Springsteen introduced his song with essentially the same remarks he used to introduce the song at last Monday's Democracy Now! @30 event. And again he sang the slightly altered line "...against Miller and Noem's fucking lies," just as he did last Monday, as well. At this point, it's a pretty safe bet that this is how the song will be introduced and performed, at least during the initial shows of his national tour with the E Street Band, launching in Minneapolis this Tuesday. It's especially moving to see the reaction shots of some visibly emotional folks in the crowd:
The Springsteen tour's scheduled nightly special guest, Tom Morello, also appeared at yesterday's No Kings rally. He joined Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers on an especially apropos version of Minnesota native Bob Dylan's classic "The Times They Are A-Changin'." Their pro-shot performance is cued up below:
